Here are some of my favourite ADHD Coaching questions. Of course there are a thousand questions we can ask, and they lead to more questions…

  1. If you could wave a magic wand, what would change?
  2. What advice would you give to a friend?
  3. How can your strengths / values help you?
  4. What has / has not worked for you in the past?
  5. What is the smallest first step you could take?
  6. What story are you telling yourself?
  7. How does that belief serve you?
  8. What support / resources do you need?
  9. What shifted for you in the session today?
  10. How will you celebrate your achievement?

Bonus question 1: if your client is telling a long story you can bring them back by asking – how does that relate to your goal / purpose?

Bonus question 2: if you are not sure where the conversation is going – notice words or phrases they are using and ask them to tell you more. For example – ‘I notice you uses the word should a few times – tell me more about that?’
