There are a lot of free screeners for ADHD. One thing I have learned is that the older we are, the more strategies we have in place for dealing with our symptoms. So when completing a screener I might see the question – ‘how organised are you?’ or ‘how punctual are you?’ I have to answer these as though I have not learned how to be over organised (obsessively neat) and over punctual (obsessively early). These strategies just mask my real chaotic, late running symptoms and would give a false reading.

I have pasted several free screeners below, and they all seem to be using similar questions. The ADHD symptom tests were adapted from the ASRS Screener developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Work Group on Adult ADHD. You can google ‘Free ADHD Screen Test UK’ and more options will come up.

What our students say

Hear from coaches who have completed training with Barrett Coaching and Training and gone on to develop their practice.

“This training completely changed my career path. I went from feeling unsure to feeling confident and equipped to work with ADHD clients.

What stood out most was how genuinely neuro-affirming the experience felt, and how much it deepened my own understanding of ADHD.”

I finished the course feeling confident, capable, and excited about the work I’m now doing with clients.”
